Biodegradable optical fiber

Optical fibers are made by pouring Agar( from seaweed) into cylinders to set.

They convey optical messages ( I suspect not very far) and the distortions in the laser signals can be used to detect tiny electric currents

They can be inserted into people and are absorbed by the body over time harmlessly.

I suspect that this is mainly a proof of concept paper since all the important details are in subsidiary information on links but I like to highlight CHON potentials.
